Confirm porcelain type, thickness and required edge quality.
Dense porcelain, glazed tile and large-format slabs can behave differently. Provide tile thickness, surface finish and the amount of chipping that is acceptable at the visible edge. This determines whether speed, cut quality or both should be prioritized.2 · Blade Design
Match the cutting edge to the finish requirement.
A continuous rim is commonly selected where a smoother edge is the priority. Turbo and segmented configurations can suit different removal and cooling requirements, but must be matched to the material and machine. Choose diameter and bore around the saw, not the tile alone.

Wet or dry cutting changes the operating condition.
